Why AIS

The firm is twelve years old. The work is older: Olumide Bewaji and Co was founded in 1994. The promise is not originality — it is that the accounts, the tax computations and the audit file will be current, defensible, and on time.

Nigeria’s tax system changed on 1 January 2026.
NRS replaced FIRS. Company tax is 30% plus a 4% Development Levy for firms that are not small companies. Professional services are out of the 0% CIT rate. A briefing for boards — not a substitute for the file.

- AIS Professional Services was established in December 2013, succeeding Olumide Bewaji and Co, founded 24 February 1994 (LAG897951). The work is Nigerian accounting, audit and tax, deployed nationwide from offices in Abuja and Lagos.
- Do you work outside Abuja?
- Yes. The offices are in Abuja and Lagos. Engagements are deployed nationwide — with the client, on their systems, anywhere in Nigeria.

- Yes. AIS is a firm of chartered accountants registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission. It holds firm practice licences from ICAN and CITN and is registered with the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.

- Yes. AIS is a firm of chartered accountants. Partners and managers hold ICAN and related professional memberships. The firm is licensed by ICAN to practise as chartered accountants.
- Do you implement ICFR in Nigeria?
- Yes. We design the internal control over financial reporting framework, walk through the processes and build the evidence file management can attest to — for public-interest and regulated entities nationwide.
- Do you implement IFRS 18, S1 and S2?
- Yes. IFRS implementation covers IFRS 18 presentation and IFRS S1 and S2 sustainability disclosures: gap assessment, conversion of the statements and notes, and training for the team that has to produce them.
- What did the 2025 tax acts change from 1 January 2026?
- NRS replaced FIRS as the federal tax authority. Company income tax for firms that are not small companies is 30%, plus a 4% Development Levy on assessable profits. Professional services are excluded from the small-company 0% CIT rate. Read our briefing, then write if the file is yours.
