Tax is a strategy problem as much as a filing problem. We help clients stay current with Nigerian tax law and deal with the correspondence when it arrives.
Nigerian tax is a federal and state problem at once. We handle company income tax, VAT, withholding tax and PAYE, and we stay with the file when NRS or a state internal revenue service writes. Transfer pricing and international assignee arrangements sit in the same practice — they are not referred out.
Clients come to us before a filing is due, or after a query has arrived. Either is fine. The engagement is a written scope, a computation trail, and someone at the desk who will take the call — wherever the entity sits.
Who this is for
- Companies facing NRS or a state internal revenue service — before a filing, or after a query
- Groups with transfer pricing or international assignee arrangements
- Boards that need a computation trail, not a verbal ‘we should be fine’
What is included
- Tax planning and advisory — structure, deductions and a forward look aligned to how the business will grow
- Corporate tax compliance — company income tax, the Development Levy, VAT, withholding tax and the returns beside them
- Employment taxes — PAYE, employee compensation structuring and international assignee arrangements
- Personal tax and wealth — income tax, estate and related filings for individuals; trusts, giving and succession where the facts require it
- Tax audit support and representation — documentation, correspondence and representation before NRS and state tax authorities, through to dispute resolution
- International tax — cross-border structures, transfer pricing and treaty positions
- Indirect tax — VAT and related obligations across the jurisdictions you operate in
- Tax due diligence and tax accounting reports — for transactions, lenders and the audit file
- Legislative monitoring — what a change in the law actually does to your position
- Other regulatory services — company secretarial, Industrial Training Fund (ITF) and NSITF compliance
How the work runs
Every engagement follows the same four steps: listen, scope in writing, do the work, stand behind it. The calendar and the named partner are in the letter — not in a follow-up email that never comes.
Questions we are asked
- Is FIRS now NRS?
- Yes. The Nigeria Revenue Service took over federal tax administration from 1 January 2026. Existing TINs continue. Filings and correspondence now run through NRS and Rev360.
- Can a professional-services firm claim 0% CIT as a small company?
- No. Professional services are excluded from the small-company 0% CIT rate regardless of turnover. We brief the rest of the 2025 acts on the Insights page — then we work the file.
- Do you handle personal tax for individuals?
- Yes. Personal income tax, estate and related filings for individuals, and trusts, giving and succession where the facts require it — usually for owners and executives of the businesses we already serve.
- Do you handle company secretarial, ITF and NSITF?
- Yes. Company secretarial work, Industrial Training Fund and NSITF compliance sit in the same compliance file as tax, so filings are not split across advisers.
