Get to know the practice
AIS Professional Services is a proudly indigenous firm of chartered accountants, established in December 2013 to succeed the legacy of Olumide Bewaji and Co, a firm founded in February 1994. The foundation of the practice dates to 24 February 1994, with the registration of Olumide Bewaji and Co (LAG897951).
We began as a financial information and technology consulting firm, using technology to streamline enterprise financial systems. Those methods have been refined for more than thirty years: a named engagement, a current file, and numbers a second pair of eyes can follow.
The work is accounting, finance, audit, tax, business analytics and capacity development — delivered on current systems, nationwide, from offices in Abuja and Lagos.

We do not publish a client list. The work is typically with Nigerian companies and groups — private, public-interest and regulated — whose numbers have to hold.
Private companies and groups
Entities that report in Nigeria and need accounts a board, a lender or NRS can walk through.
Public-interest and regulated firms
ICFR, IFRS conversions and files that have to survive the FRC or an auditor’s second look.
Finance teams in a hurry
The close is late, the pack is thin, or a letter has arrived. We sit with the people who own the ledgers.

Not a rotating inbox. A written scope, a calendar, and someone who will take the call — wherever the entity sits.
The Academy
Capacity that stays after we have gone
The Academy is the firm’s direct link to education and capacity-building: technical updates, workshops and training so clients are not only compliant, but equipped to run the finance function themselves. It is a sister organisation, coordinated through the practice — not a productised MBA, and not an add-on sold after the engagement.
Gabriel Ojeka, Practice Manager, coordinates delivery with the Academy. Training is scoped when the finance team needs to raise the standard, usually as part of a reporting, IFRS or ICFR file.

Four things we will not trade away
Rigour
The file should survive a second pair of eyes. We would rather be late by a day than sloppy by a column.
Clarity
Boards do not need theatre. They need a position, a variance, and a sentence on what to do next.
Independence
Assurance only works if we can say no. We keep that line, including when it is inconvenient.
Usefulness
Analytics, tax and the close should change a decision. If they do not, we have not finished.

Our people are members of ICAN and CITN. ICAN membership connects our people to IFAC and PAFA — that is not a claim that AIS is a member firm of IFAC or PAFA.
